The South African Zionist Federation (Israel) known as Telfed represents all Southern African olim who have made Israel their home. Its mission is to assist and guide, to develop and encourage and ultimately to see the Olim achieve successful absorption into Israel whilst encouraging Southern Africans to participate fully in Israeli society by contributing their many skills, talents and cultural attributes thereby enhancing the quality of Israeli life.

Memorial for Dudi Silbowitz and Neil Freed at Kibbutz Yizre'el

On the 35th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, a Memorial Sevice for the late Dudi [David] Silbowitz, & Neil Freed will be held as always, on the 1st Friday after Simchat Tora'- [ the day they were killed in the war -] this year on 24th October 2008 - for details

The year 5768 is swiftly drawing to a close and we are now focused on the High Holy Days and forthcoming holidays.

It is always appropriate at this time of year to reflect on the past 12 months as we look forward to what life holds for us in the coming year.

After-School Special

We, at Telfed would like to introduce our newest project, the After-School Special. The After-School Special is for your children, who might be having some difficulty with their homework due to a language barrier, to bring their homework, at which time Maggie, our new Bat-Sherut ( National Service volunteer ), will assist them with their work.
